Birthday Fun

This weekend past for full of celebratiion as my son William celebrated his 26th brithday.  Looking back that certainly has gone quick.  Instead of staying home we headed up to the Sunshine Coast to visit Bellingham Maze.  Last time we visited there William would of been about 5 or 6.  I love trying to find fun things to do on the weekend.  Plus going here had its bonuses.  Exercise.  Out in the fresh air and walking.  Those of you who know me personally know William hates walking so I had to find a fun thing to do which he would not focus on walking.  The day was glorious and the sun was out shining.

At home ready to leave.

The tyre maze was fun.  You had to follow a sequence to get around.
Once we were inside the maze we had a list of items we needed to find before finding the fountain which was in the middle.

So close yet so far.  Nearly in the middle to the fountain

Spotted Happy in our travels.

The fountain.  The middle now how to get out.

Mushrooms and more mushrooms.

Snow white

Quick game of mini golf.  18 holes.

Morning tea anyone.
After the finding our way around the maze as well as a round of mini golf we decided to have some morning tea.  Scones.  Haven't seen such enormous scones in ages.  They tasted fantastic.  I remember years ago when I was a child driving up to Maleny and we would stop on the way up to this amazing shop for scones and tea.  The scones were cooked there in front of you in the old wood oven.  I always thought this little place on the side of the mountain made the best scones in the world.  Well the scones at the maze were just as good.

After a morning tea we headed around into the big walk in bird avairy.

It was a truly fun day up the coast.  Heading up through Buderim after the maze then over through Landsborough to Woodford and then home for some birthday cake.

Happy birthday William.

I hope you all had a wonderful weekend.  Full of fun and excitment.
