Remember When life was so much easier

Life has been so busy with raising children, running a business, working fulltime you sometimes forget the simple things in life. Remember how things were when you were younger. Today there is so many chemicals and additives added into our everyday items. This year our family is trying to llive a more natural life. This blog will contain recipes, gardening tips, links to other blogs who share the same passion as I do.

De cluttering

Since moving into our new home I have had to de-clutter  to fit our stuff in.  Wow I really didn't realise how much stuff I had.  Even though I cannot convince Bill to de clutter the man cave, I can declutter the house.

Since moving in I have managed to get rid of 8 large garbage bags of clothes and linen.  3 boxes of kitchen stuff.  This will be a slow process over the next few weeks but I know by christmas the whole house should be done.

One question to you.  How do you get a hoarder to declutter.  Maybe while we are in Tasmania at Christmas the Declutter Fairy (Emma Price) could pay a visit with the help of the other fairy Sarah.

You know I know there are things I keep like empty jars but I do use them for my preserving but can anyone tell me why anyone would own 31 hammers.

Anyway I hope you are all having a great week.  Please let me know your decluttering techniques.

Spring and new beginnings

My last day at my old home and how amazing.  The sunflowers have finally woken up to say goodbye to me.

Time for the move

Well you would all know that we are finally about to move.  We are not moving far but back into Redcliffe in what I hope a quiet area.  It looks like that but I suppose I also said that about the house we have called home for the last 18 months.  I am sad to say goodbye to my vegetable patch but I know it won't take long to establish a new one.
Darling hubby will finally have his man cave which I hope now means his  crap his treasures will no longer take up room in the house.  He is the only male I know that has over 30 hammers.  Don't ask why he needs so many.  Plus along with all his other stuff.

There are also some great storage options for me in this house.  Being a highset with internal stairs the owner has built one very large cupboard/room under the stairs.  This will be a great area to store all my preserves etc.  Any way once moved and settle another vegetable patch will begin.

Hopefully photos of the garden to be posted.

Friday Findings

So much is happening at the moment in my family I am amazed I am managing so well for a change.  The last couple of weeks mum took ill and had spent the last 2 weeks in hospital.

Work has been sort of busy but more of a rollercoaster at the moment.  Depending where I am working from, will alter my mood and feelings.  Last week a fantastic week but this week it has been totally different.

Our house moving days are coming closer. Only a couple more weeks until we will be in our next home.  A step closer to our dream.  I have told Bill that this is the last move until we buy our own piece of property. Still a bit more to pack up and it will be all done.

Tomorrow I am off to Ipswich to the markets.  I love this market but working fulltime and doing markets is starting to take a toll on my life.  There is so many things I want to do on weekends so now I am rethinking monthly markets.  May be next year a complete cut down.

The one thing I really enjoy is my garden.  My beautiful patch of edible goodies are about to be someone elses haven.  It won't take me long to do another garden.  But look below and so many hidden treasures in it.  My sunflowers have just budded.  I hope I get to see them.  Radishes are plenty just like the lettuce, carrots, zuchinnis.  Rhurbarb is there and the tomatoes are growing so great and what about the cabbages and the broccoli.  Oh well I should manage to harvest a few before we leave.  I just hope the next tenants enjoy it and continue growing vegetables in it.  They are going to have a fantastic summer crop.

Have a great weekend everyone.  I know I shall be.
